Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to partner with enterprise merchants, leading technical discovery, designing scalable integrations, and influencing product direction. You will work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and product teams to deliver compelling technical narratives that map Affirm’s capabilities to merchant systems.

You will be part of a remote-first environment with travel up to 30% in support of large deployments across the US.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Partner Engineering or related pre-sales roles.
• 3+ years in payments, fintech, or related industry.
• Strong technical acumen in API integrations and enterprise architectures.
• Excellent communication and executive presence to engage diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on Affirm’s integration solutions and merchant checkout processes.
• Architect end-to-end solutions addressing customer challenges and trade-offs.
• Build trust with technical counterparts and foster enterprise relationships.
• Lead pre-sales and solution strategy with sales and partner teams.
• Provide actionable customer insights to influence product development.
