Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to lead enterprise pre-sales for checkout and payments solutions. You will architect end-to-end integrations, influence product roadmaps, and build trusted relationships with large merchants while collaborating with sales, engineering, and product teams.

This remote-first role requires strong communication, technical depth in API integrations, and travel up to 30%. USA-based opportunities include Pacific and other states with competitive OTE.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Partner Engineering, Solutions Engineering, technical sales or pre-sales roles.
• 3+ years in payments, fintech, or closely related industry.
• Strong technical acumen in API integrations, SaaS platforms, and enterprise architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with enterprise merchants.
• Architect end-to-end integration solutions addressing complex challenges.
• Evaluate trade-offs across merchant constraints, platform capabilities, and non-functional requirements.
• Build trusted relationships with Enterprise & Key merchants.
• Collaborate with sales and partner engineering teams to drive opportunities.
• Provide actionable product feedback to influence development and roadmaps.
• Create scalable pre-sales materials and training resources.
• Develop pre-sales support material and documentation for new products and features.
