Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to combine technical acumen, communication, and problem solving to help enterprise merchants design and implement scalable solutions on the Affirm platform. You will lead technical discovery, analyze requirements, and help win deals as a trusted advisor across sales, engineering, and product teams.

You will partner with sales and engineering to shape solutions for large customers, influence product direction, and scale internal processes.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in business/technology or equivalent technical account management experience.
• 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Partner Engineering, or related roles focusing on solution architecture.
• 3+ years in payments/fintech or related industry.
• Strong technical acumen in API integrations, SaaS platforms, and enterprise architectures with emphasis on checkout and payment systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments independently with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on affirm integration solutions, mapping capabilities to merchant systems and driving platform adoption.
• Architect end-to-end solutions addressing customer challenges, including complex integrations and customizations.
• Build trust with internal and external stakeholders and foster long-term relationships with Enterprise & Key merchants.
• Partner with sales and partner engineering to drive opportunities for large customers and successful implementations.
• Provide actionable insights to product management to influence roadmap and feature prioritization.
• Create and share best practices, reusable assets, and training materials for go-to-market efficiency.
• Provide technical input into sales planning and forecasting, identifying risks early and enabling scalable engagement models.
• Develop pre-sales materials and demos for new products and features.
• Develop custom demos as required.
