Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Staff Sales Engineer to guide enterprise merchants in designing scalable integrations on the affirm platform. You will lead technical discovery, assess requirements, and craft tailored solutions that align with merchant priorities.

You will collaborate across sales, engineering, and product teams to win deals, while building reusable assets and playing a key role in shaping product direction. This remote‑first role emphasizes customer success and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in business/technology or equivalent technical account management experience.
• 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Partner Engineering, or related roles.
• 3+ years in payments/fintech or related industry.
• Strong technical acumen in API integrations and enterprise architectures.
• Experience with ecommerce checkout and payment systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on affirm’s integration solutions and merchant checkout.
• Architect end‑to‑end solutions addressing complex merchant challenges.
• Build trust with technical counterparts and enterprise customers.
• Collaborate with sales and partner teams to drive opportunities for large customers.
• Influence product management with customer feedback and market insights.
• Create scalable, reusable assets and training materials for go‑to‑market efficiency.
• Provide technical input into sales planning and forecasting.
