Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to combine technical aptitude with business acumen to help enterprise merchants design scalable, reliable solutions on the Affirm platform.

You’ll lead technical discovery, analyze requirements, and identify well-architected solutions to win deals and drive the business forward. As part of the Merchant Engineering team, you’ll collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Product to develop merchant solutions, build trust with customers, and influence

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in business or technology or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or related roles.
• 3+ years in payments/fintech industry.
• Strong API integrations and SaaS knowledge.
• Experience with e-commerce checkout solutions and payment systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on integration solutions and architect end-to-end merchant solutions.
• Lead technical discovery, analyze requirements, and identify compelling technical narratives.
• Build trust with Enterprise & Key merchants and foster long-term relationships.
• Partner with sales and partner engineering to drive opportunities for large customers.
• Influence product roadmap by providing customer-driven insights.
• Develop pre-sales materials and build custom demos as required.
