Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to lead technical discovery, architect scalable integrations, and act as a trusted advisor to enterprise merchants. You will work with cross‑functional teams to map Affirm’s capabilities to merchant systems and drive platform adoption.

You will partner with sales, engineering, and product to influence roadmaps, develop reusable assets, and build scalable engagement models. Remote-first culture with occasional in‑person onboarding.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in business or technology, or equivalent technical account management experience.
• 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or related roles focusing on architecture.
• 3+ years in payments/fintech industry.
• Strong technical acumen in API integrations and enterprise architectures.
• Experience with ecommerce checkout and payment solutions.
• Able to manage multiple assignments with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on integration solutions for merchants.
• Architect end-to-end solutions addressing merchant challenges.
• Build trust with enterprise and key merchants.
• Partner with sales and partner engineering to drive opportunities.
• Provide voice of customer to product management.
• Create reusable assets and training materials.
• Provide technical input into sales planning and forecasting.
• Develop pre-sales support material for new products.
• Build and present custom demos.
