Job summary

RethinkFirst in the United States is seeking an experienced AP Specialist to join our accounting and finance team. You will manage full-cycle accounts payable, match invoices to POs, and ensure approvals are obtained while maintaining accurate general ledger coding.

The role requires 3–5 years of AP experience, strong Excel and ERP skills (Sage Intacct), and excellent analytical abilities. This is a remote-first position with national reach and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills incl. pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with an ERP such as Sage Intacct preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication (verbal & written), organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently on deliverables to achieve accurate results.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle AP, including inbox management and invoicing in Sage Intacct with accurate GL coding.
• Match invoices to POs and receiving docs with proper approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
• Communicate AP questions with employees, vendors, and internal departments.
• Reconcile AP-related GL accounts and assist with month-end close.
• Review and process employee expense reports and corporate card transactions.
• Serve as point person for procurement tool, including user support and approval workflow maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Assist with audit requests and provide AP documentation as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency.
