Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the United States and nationally. The role is remote-friendly, with overnight travel on short notice and on‑call rotation.

You will install, maintain, and repair instruments, build customer relationships, and identify service and cross‑sell opportunities. The position requires a technical degree or substantial equivalent experience, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, or Biomedical Science.
• 2+ years troubleshooting complex electro‑mechanical, electronic, computer, or electrical systems.
• Education Substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades and repairs.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend 6–9 weeks of product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO in the first year.
• Travel includes scheduled and unscheduled visits with overnight stays as needed.
• On-call rotation approximately every 5 weeks, with local and potential national travel.
