Job summary

bioMérieux seeks a Field Systems Engineer to service customer instruments across a designated territory and nationally. The role is remote-based with requirement for overnight travel, on-call duty, and regular field visits.

You will perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs, while promoting service agreements and generating revenue through billable activities. Training is provided at two U.S. offices within the first year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
• 2+ years troubleshooting electro-mechanical, electronic, or computer systems.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs using electronic and computer skills to ensure instruments meet specifications.
• Promote service agreements and identify sales opportunities for cross-functional teams.
• Drive field service revenue through billable offerings like preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend 6–9 weeks of product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO offices within the first year.
• Travel to customer sites with overnight stays as needed; participate in on-call rotations.
• Complete service work orders, QA checklists, and internal training requirements on time.
