Job summary

bioMerieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the region and nationally. The role requires remote work with overnight travel ability, delivering best-in-class customer experiences and promoting service agreements.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in electro-mechanical/electronic troubleshooting, or 6+ years experience in lieu of a degree, and a valid driver’s license. On-site visits, field service duties, and cross-functional collaboration are core aspects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; 2+ years in troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical and electronic systems.
• Alternative: 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in field service preferred.
• Biomedical, vacuum, host/remote communications experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs with installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
• Build trust with customers and promote service agreements.
• Drive field service revenue through preventative maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend product training in Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO.
• Travel for customer visits and occasional national travel.
• Complete service work orders and QA checklists accurately.
• Maintain travel calendars and report expenses.
