Job summary

Abbott Diagnostics is seeking a Remote Field Service Engineer to provide on-site and remote diagnostic support across the territory. The role requires remaining in Dustin, FL area with 50% travel and occasional after-hours duties.

You will collaborate with sales and QA teams to ensure instrument uptime and customer satisfaction. The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, repairs, and compliant service delivery while building strong customer relationships and adhering to Abbott quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prefer biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering or medical technology background.
• Experience interfacing with customers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Represent Abbott Diagnostics to its customers.
• Provide on-site support to ADD customers.
• Support field personnel and District business objectives.
• Provide direction and mentoring skills to other FSRs.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complaints reported by customers on instruments per Field Service guidelines.
• Document resolution per Quality System and QA procedures.
• Follow regulatory and compliance procedures.
• Maintain a safe work environment and lab safety guidelines.
• Schedule and complete routine preventive maintenance, installations, and updates.
• Travel and standby responsibilities, including after-hours and flexible hours.
