Job summary

Abbott Diagnostics seeks a field service professional to deliver on-site support, installation, and preventive maintenance for diagnostic instruments. This remote-friendly role requires 75% travel within the territory and residence in Virginia, with quick responsiveness and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer needs.

You will troubleshoot complex instruments, document actions, and follow Abbott quality systems while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Preferred degrees in BioMed/Electrical/Mechanical or Medical Technology.
• Experience interfacing with customers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support and maintain/repair Abbott instruments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrument issues with escalating complexity.
• Document actions and follow quality/regulatory procedures.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, and other functions to meet customer needs.
• Manage time, territory, and standby/after-hours responsibilities.
