Job summary

PerkinElmer seeks a Field Service Engineer to deliver on-site installations, diagnostics, and repairs of complex analytical equipment for customers from Albany to Poughkeepsie, NY. This Field Remote role emphasizes customer training, service quality, and proactive problem solving in regulated lab environments.

You will travel up to 50% with a company-provided car, laptop and phone, maintain assets, and ensure safety and compliance while meeting service KPIs and supporting instrument upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degree with relevant lab equipment repair experience.
• Military experience considered with direct repair of laboratory equipment.
• High school diploma with extensive field repair background.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, maintenance, validations, and repairs while ensuring service standards.
• Engage with customers to understand workflows and tailor service offerings including training and upgrades.
• Maintain assets, tools, and service parts inventory; report improvements via quality process.
• Complete administrative tasks and maintain training and safety compliance.

Education

BA Bachelor Degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline including military experience plus 3 years direct experience with repair of laboratory equipment

Associate Degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline including military experience plus 5 years direct experience with repair of laboratory equipment

High School Diploma plus 7+ years direct experience with repair of laboratory equipment
