Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Field Service Engineer for remote field support servicing customers in western New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware. The role involves on-site installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of complex equipment, with training and customer operation guidance.

Travel may reach up to 50% and includes air/ground transport. You will ensure safety and compliance, manage administrative tasks, and participate in company-sponsored training and development

Qualifications

• BA in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline including military experience with 3 years direct repair experience.
• Associate Degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline including military experience with 5 years direct repair experience.
• High School Diploma plus 7+ years direct experience with repair of laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, maintenance, validations and repairs while adhering to service standards and KPIs.
• Engage with customers to understand workflows and tailor service offerings including training and upgrades.
• Identify revenue opportunities such as billable work, consumables and service leads to boost account profitability.
• Maintain assets, tools, test equipment, telecommunication equipment and service parts inventory.
• Proactively report improvement opportunities via quality notification processes.
