Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site and remote support for complex analytical instruments, servicing customers in Georgia. The role includes installation, troubleshooting and repairs, acting as liaison for administrative and technical matters on projects, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

The position requires strong communication, problem-solving and customer service skills, with travel across the Nashville area and a company vehicle, laptop and phone

Qualifications

• BA/Bachelor Degree in an applied science, biology, chemistry, electronics, mathematics, engineering or related field with military experience and 5+ years repair of laboratory equipment.
• Associate Degree in applied science or related field with military experience and 7+ years repair experience.
• High School Diploma with 10+ years repair experience and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, validate and repair PerkinElmer instrumentation at customer site.
• Provide troubleshooting, repair and qualification services including warranty work.
• Communicate service offerings, training, software and field upgrades to customers.
• Partner with customers to understand analytical workflows and applications.
• Adhere to installation, warranty and service documentation standards.
• Contribute to account profitability through efficient service delivery.
• Perform data uploads/downloads to keep service systems accurate.
