Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Technical Support Representative for both our commercial and residential flooring businesses.

The role requires hands-on installation experience and strong communication skills, with remote work and 60–80% travel to job sites during the week. The position involves supporting sales reps with technical product knowledge, installation methods, and field service leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Commercial Flooring installation experience.
• Extensive understanding of commercial and residential resilient installation processes, methods, tools, and techniques.
• Carpet installation experience and/or professional certifications are a plus*
• Must demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and training skills.
• Must be self-motivated, have good organizational and time management skills.

Responsabilités

• Industry leading expertise in the installation of commercial and residential flooring products in a highly professional manner.
• Ability to support sales reps with projects providing technical support on product, installation, and performance.
• Support business on job starts.
• Serve as an inspector for field project situations and prepare inspection reports and related documents.
• Where possible, approach field situations as training opportunities to build knowledge for future issues.
• Familiarity with advanced installation techniques and defend those opinions in challenging situations.
• Support training efforts and sales events with customers and sales associates on product and installation methods.
• Cross-train to obtain knowledge of all flooring products to support field services.
