Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer to lead deployment and integration of complex IP solutions across hybrid cloud environments. This remote role requires up to 75% travel within the US and internationally, with on-site testing, configuration, and post-cut support.

You will configure, verify, and troubleshoot ECH systems, document changes, and collaborate with customers and partners while staying current with cloud-native public safety technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years deploying or integrating complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) and Microsoft CompTIA Network+/Security+.
• Experience with Cloud-based application troubleshooting, including connectivity, latency, and Identity management (SSO/AD).
• Experience with Server Virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).
• SQL Server versions 2008 R2/2012/2016/2022 and Windows Server 2012/2016/2022; Windows 10/11.
• Linux and networking hardware (Cisco IOS).
• Telephony knowledge related to analog lines and PRI; Active Directory knowledge.
• Independent work style and time management in deployment teams.
• Familiar with ESXi/KVM and RedHat; Cisco switch configurations.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based apps.
• Performs site verification testing prior to cutover to production.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Provides support to customers and channel partners during deployment.
• Documents all changes including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations.
• Ensures timely resolution of installation/quality issues.
• Contributes to MOP development for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintains expertise in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
