Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer for a remote role in the United States with extensive travel. You will oversee on-site configuration, testing, cutover, and post-cut support for ECH solutions, both on-premise and cloud-hosted.

You will configure environments, verify deployments, troubleshoot cloud connectivity, and support customers and partners. Strong background in IP networking, virtualization, and public safety tech is required.

Qualifications

• College Degree in Engineering, IT, or Technology.
• 3+ years of experience in deployment/integration of complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure) are a plus.
• CompTIA Network+ and Security+ are preferred.
• Experience with cloud-based troubleshooting, connectivity, latency, and identity management (SSO/AD).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with SIP, ACD routing, and SBC provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for ECH solutions (hybrid cloud and SaaS).
• Conducts site verification testing prior to production cutover.
• Configures connectivity between local sites and cloud environments.
• Supports customers and partners during deployment.
• Documents changes to cloud tenants and API integrations.
• Ensures timely resolution of installation/quality issues.
• Contributes to Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintains skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
