Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer to lead on-site and cloud-based deployments. You will configure, test, and cut over systems, supporting both on-premise and cloud-hosted solutions across the US and beyond.

Travel will exceed 75%, with remote work options. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of deployment/engineering in IP products, strong cloud and telephony skills, and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• College degree in engineering, IT, or technology.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering or technical environments.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) are a plus.
• CompTIA Network+ and Security+ are valuable.
• Experience with virtualization and server OS environments.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for all ECH solutions, incl. hybrid cloud and SaaS.
• Performs site verification testing before production cutover.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local and cloud envs.
• Documents changes to cloud tenant configurations and API integrations.
• Ensures installation/quality issues are resolved promptly.
• Supports creation of MOPs for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract presentations and negotiations as required.
• Maintains expertise in emerging cloud-native public safety tech.
