Job summary

Motorola Solutions is hiring an Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer to support deployment and integration of cloud-based and on-premise ECH solutions across the US and internationally. The role requires hands-on configuration, testing, and post-cut support, with ~75% travel.

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering, IT, or Technology.
• 3+ years deploying or integrating complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner).
• Experience with cloud-based troubleshooting, SSO/Active Directory.
• VMware ESXi and Hyper-V administration and troubleshooting.
• Windows Server and Linux administration experience.
• Cisco IOS networking and Fortinet FortiGate firewall knowledge.
• Telephony knowledge related to analog lines and PRI.
• US passport eligible for international travel (75%).
• Public Safety Applications deployment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS.
• Site verification testing before production cutover.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local and cloud environments.
• Provides support to customers and channel partners during deployment.
• Documents changes to cloud tenants and API integrations.
• Resolves installation and quality issues promptly.
• Participates in Methods of Procedure (MOP) for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintains SME skills in emerging cloud-native public safety tech.
