Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer to oversee on-site configuration, testing, cutover, and post-cut support for both on-premise and cloud-hosted ECH solutions. This remote role is available anywhere in the US and requires >75% travel to customer sites.

You will configure systems, verify site readiness, troubleshoot network-cloud connections, and document changes. You’ll collaborate with customers and partners and advance cloud migration methods while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Software Engineering, or Technology.
• 3+ years of deployment and integration of complex IP products and systems.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms and Deployment Models (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Private Cloud).
• Experience with Cloud-based troubleshooting, including connectivity, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/Active Directory).
• Relevant Cloud Certifications preferred.
• CompTIA Network+ AND Security+.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for all supported ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications.
• Performs site verification testing prior to cutting a site into production environment.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud-hosted environments.
• Provides support to Customer and Channel Partners during deployment.
• Documents changes to the solution, including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations.
• Ensures installation/quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Participates in the development and approval of MOPs for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations as required.
• Maintains subject matter expert skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
