Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer to implement and support on‑premise and cloud‑hosted ECH solutions across US sites. You will configure systems, test readiness, and ensure smooth transitions into production.

The role requires strong deployment experience, cloud familiarity, and a willingness to travel 75%+. You will collaborate with customers and partners to deliver resilient public safety technology and maintain enterprise security practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT or technology.
• 3+ years deploying and integrating complex IP products and systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Private Cloud) and cloud troubleshooting.
• Experience with SSO/Active Directory identity management.
• Cloud certifications preferred.
• CompTIA Network+ and Security+.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for all ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications.
• Performs site verification testing prior to cutting a site into production.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud-hosted environments.
• Provides support to Customer and Channel Partners during deployment into production.
• Documents changes to cloud tenants and API integrations during implementation.
• Ensures installation/quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Participates in development and approval of Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintains subject matter expert skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
