Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Emergency Call Handling Field Engineer to implement and support on-premise and cloud-hosted ECH solutions across the US, reporting to the ECH Field Engineer Manager.

The role requires extensive travel and involves on-site configuration, testing, cut, and post-cut support, with emphasis on hybrid cloud and SaaS deployments. A strong background in engineering or IT and 3+ years in deployment is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, IT, Software Engineering, or Technology.
• 3+ years of deployment and integration of complex IP products and systems.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms and Deployment Models (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Private Cloud environments).
• Experience with Cloud-based application troubleshooting, including connectivity, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/Active Directory).
• Relevant Cloud Certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals).
• CompTIA Network+ and Security+.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for all supported ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications.
• Performs site verification testing prior to production readiness.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud-hosted environments.
• Provides support to Customer and Channel Partners during deployment.
• Documents changes to the solution, including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations.
• Ensures installation/quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Participates in development and approval of MOPs for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintains SME skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
