Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced ECH Field Engineer for remote deployment across the US and international sites. You will configure, test, and implement Emergency Call Handling solutions, collaborating with customers and partners to ensure successful production deployments.

The role requires strong cloud and virtualization expertise, active directory and network skills, and the ability to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• ~3+ years of experience in deployment or integration of complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner)
• Microsoft Certified: CompTIA Network+ and Security+
• Experience with Cloud-based application troubleshooting including connectivity, latency, and identity management (SSO/Active Directory).
• Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting of Server Virtualization (VMware ESXi) and Hyper-V.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2016/2022.
• Windows Server 2012/2016/2022.
• Windows 10 & 11.
• Linux.
• Cisco IOS switches.
• Fortinet FortiGate firewall knowledge.
• Telephony knowledge related to analog lines and PRI.
• Active Directory knowledge and account management.
• Ability to work independently and manage time within deployment team.
• Familiar with VM deployments ESXi/KVM/RedHat.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for all ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS.
• Performs site verification testing prior to production cut.
• Configures connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Provides support to customers and channel partners during deployment.
• Documents changes to the solution, including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations.
• Ensures installation/quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Participates in developing and approving MOPs for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract presentations and negotiations as required.
• Maintains SME skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
