Job summary

Red River is seeking an experienced Senior IT Sales professional to drive revenue in a remote, field-facing role across the Department of Energy customer base. You will specialize in IT and cloud-related solutions, developing strategic account plans and multi-year contracts.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in IT sales, strong C-level relationship skills, and familiarity with federal contracting. The role involves pipeline management, forecasting, and demand generation with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of IT sales experience.
• Mid-level certifications in OEM training programs.
• College or associate degree are preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to put together compressive account plans and strategy.
• Demonstrate the ability to sell professional and managed services.
• Ability to cultivate C-level relationships and understand underlying business drivers.
• Ability to capture large multi-year IT annuity contracts.
• Detailed understanding of all Federal Contracting and acquisition vehicles.
• Understanding of federal budgets cycles and buying patterns.

Responsibilities

• Sales account executive responsible for driving profitable revenue growth.
• Manages a dedicated sales territory comprised of government agencies.
• Responsible for insight into industry trends for cloud computing, consumptive models and creative financing options
• Demonstrates a consultative sales approach by possessing a detailed understanding of the federal or commercial marketplace, as applicable to the role, along with the business acumen to solve customer problems
• Actively engaged in pipeline development, opportunity management/forecasting and demand generation
