Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Event Coordinator for the hospitality and tourism sector, based nearWelkom, Free State. The role is fully remote, coordinating diverse events from planning to execution with clients and on-site staff as needed.

Ideal candidates will have event planning experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with standard office tools and event management software.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event planning or coordination, ideally within the hospitality or event industry.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with multitasking ability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising with clients and vendors virtually.
• Proficiency in event management software and standard office suites.
• Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a remote work environment.
• Stable internet connection and a dedicated workspace are mandatory.
• Keen eye for detail and a passion for creating successful events.
• Understanding of tourism and hospitality event trends is advantageous.
• High school diploma required; a certificate or degree in Event Management or Hospitality is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist in planning and coordination of various events, ensuring details align with hospitality standards.
• Manage event timelines, budgets, and vendor communications from a remote location.
• Coordinate with venues, caterers, entertainers, and other suppliers to finalize arrangements.
• Develop event layouts, run sheets, and logistical plans.
• Liaise directly with clients to understand their needs and provide regular updates.
• Assist in managing guest lists, invitations, and RSVP tracking.
• Support the on-site event team during execution through remote communication.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any event-related issues that may arise.
• Conduct post-event follow-ups and gather feedback for future improvements.
• Maintain organized digital files and records for all events managed.
