Job summary

Pearson is recruiting for remote scoring roles (English 6-12) in the United States. Qualified candidates will evaluate responses, adhere to scoring standards, and participate in scoring discussions, all while maintaining confidentiality and meeting productivity targets.

Active or recently retired educators may apply; training occurs prior to scoring, with sessions Monday–Friday on a biweekly rotation. Starting pay is $17.50/hour, and this is a part-time, remote position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (required).
• A current teaching certification in the subject area you are applying for and be practicing or have five years’ recent experience in the service role in a public school in the subject area.
• Hold or have held a position at a college/university in the same subject area and have at least 5 years of teaching experience in the same subject area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Florida teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in scoring activities.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test before scoring.
