Job summary

Pearson is seeking remote scorers to evaluate English 6-12 responses for licensure testing. This part-time, remote role supports Florida Department of Education scoring standards.

A bachelor’s degree or higher, a current teaching certification in the subject area, and 5+ years of public-school experience are required. Qualified candidates must be available on weekdays 8:30 AM–4:00 PM EST, have basic computer skills, and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher, and a current teaching certification in the subject area you apply for, with five or more years’ recent public school experience in that subject.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher and experience as a college/university lecturer or scorer in the same subject area with at least 5 years of teaching in that subject.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Florida teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in scoring activities.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements, including passing a qualifying test before scoring.
