Job summary
Ad Hoc is seeking an Engineering Lead for a fully remote role across the United States. You will shape the technical direction of a federal civilian program while developing and mentoring teams, with responsibility for delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
You will work closely with leadership, participate in staffing decisions, and communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders. The role requires senior-level engineering background and strong leadership and coaching skills.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of engineering experience with a degree or equivalent.
- 2+ years mentoring and coaching; lead delivery tasks.
- Must pass background check per federal requirements.
- Extensive software development and mentorship experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication for non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Shape the program's technical direction with leadership; mentor engineers.
- Lead cross-functional teams to meet delivery requirements and goals.
- Partner with stakeholders to advocate best technical solutions and tradeoffs.
- Participate in interviews and contribute to hiring decisions.
- Oversee hiring, performance reviews and PTO management for teams.
