Qualifications

• System/app design, web and client-server technology.
• Excellent communication with non-technical staff to understand requirements.
• Working knowledge of an object-oriented language.
• Experience with reporting tools.
• Exposure to automated testing, test-driven development.
• Thorough understanding of software development methodologies.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Awareness of software product development life-cycle and CI.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, tests, documents and implements software according to specifications and industry best practices.
• Converts functional specifications into technical specifications for code development.
• Works with Delivery Manager to evaluate user requests for feasibility, cost and time.
• Follows coding and documentation standards; participates in code reviews.
• Collaborates with End Users to troubleshoot IT questions and generate reports.
• Analyzes, reviews and alters programs to increase efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
• Understands Special Education and RTI models.
• Implements complex reports and interfaces.
• Configures and deploys applications in all environments.
• Provides knowledge transfer to support/services teams.
• Continuously seeks ways to improve effectiveness and product quality.
• Trains and assists less experienced peers as needed.
