Job summary

Ad Hoc LLC is seeking an Engineering Lead in the United States to drive hands-on delivery of Java microservices within a modernization program for public-sector clients. You will write production code, set technical bar, and mentor a small team of engineers as part of an integrated delivery squad.

You should have 9+ years of software engineering, strong Java 17+ and Spring Boot experience, and a track record of leading production services and REST APIs.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on coding.
• Experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot in production.
• 5+ years building REST APIs and microservices.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a hands-on delivery team and ship production Java microservices.
• Mentor engineers and manage a small group of Ad Hoc engineers.
• Define design decisions, reviews, and technical risk communication.
• Collaborate with customer architects and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Contribute to architecture, documentation and program delivery.
