Job summary

My Virtual Mate is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth in Australia and New Zealand through targeted outreach and research. This remote, part-time role will expand to full-time as pipelines mature, with training provided by the owner/director.

Responsibilities include lead generation, researching opportunities, and multi-channel outreach to senior decision-makers in engineering, construction, and related services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in business development, B2B sales, lead generation, or client acquisition.
• Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, or related professional services.
• Excellent English, able to communicate with senior decision-makers in AU/NZ.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential clients across Australia and New Zealand.
• Execute outbound prospecting via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn.
• Qualify prospects and book qualified discovery meetings.
• Shadow and progress to discovery calls and sales proposals.
• Maintain CRM records and monitor pipeline for reporting.
