Job summary

Paige Renewable Energy, a GCG company, seeks an Electrical Design Estimator to translate drawings and BOMs into accurate estimates for utility-scale projects across North America. You will perform detailed takeoffs and develop pricing while coordinating with Sales, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

This role supports a remote work environment with team alignment to Eastern or Central Time Zone. Strong electrical knowledge and meticulous attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years electrical estimating experience or equivalent.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and BOMs.
• Perform detailed material takeoffs and develop project estimates.
• Understand electrical materials, cables, connectors, and distribution systems.
• Strong math/analytical skills with high accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Bluebeam or similar tools.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to manage multiple estimates.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQ packages, drawings, site layouts, specs, BOMs to understand scope.
• Perform detailed electrical material takeoffs and quantify materials.
• Develop project estimates including material costs, vendor pricing, freight, and manufacturing costs.
• Identify discrepancies, scope gaps, and risks; document assumptions and clarifications.
• Validate quantities, material selections, calculations, and drawings before release.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and manufacturing for pricing and lead times.
• Support proposal development, design revisions, and BAFO activities.
