Job summary

Paige Renewable Energy, a GCG company, is seeking an Electrical Design Estimator to support utility‑scale renewable energy projects across North America. You will translate drawings, specs, and BOMs into accurate estimates, perform detailed material takeoffs, and coordinate pricing with suppliers and manufacturing partners.

You will review project packages, identify scope gaps, and document assumptions to ensure estimates are complete and executable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience or equivalent electrical construction/design experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, site plans, specifications, and bills of material.
• Experience performing detailed material takeoffs and developing project estimates.
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, cable, conductors, connectors, and electrical distribution systems.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using Bluebeam or similar takeoff software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple estimates.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQ packages, drawings and BOMs to understand project scope and requirements.
• Perform detailed electrical material takeoffs and develop project estimates.
• Incorporate material costs, vendor pricing, freight, manufacturing costs, and customer requirements into estimates.
• Identify discrepancies and risks, documenting assumptions and clarifications.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and manufacturing to validate supplier pricing and lead times.
• Support proposal development, design revisions, and BAFO activities.
• Communicate impacts of estimate revisions clearly and concisely.
• Maintain organized estimating files for independent review.
• Assist in project award and handoff to ensure alignment with PO.
• Support changes, spare parts, and change orders as needed.
• Improve estimating templates and processes with lessons learned.
