Job summary

Paige Renewable Energy, a GCG company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Estimator to join Paige Energy and support utility-scale renewable energy projects across North America. You’ll translate customer drawings, specifications, BOMs, and project requirements into accurate, executable estimates.

You'll perform detailed takeoffs, develop pricing, identify scope issues, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and manufacturing partners to drive

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience or equivalent electrical construction/design estimating
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, site plans and BOMs
• Experience performing detailed material takeoffs and developing project estimates
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, cable, conductors, connectors, and distribution systems
• Proficiency with Excel and takeoff/drawing tools like Bluebeam or similar

Responsibilities

• Review RFQ packages, drawings, site layouts, single-line diagrams, specs and BOMs to understand scope
• Perform detailed electrical material takeoffs (cable lengths, cables, connectors, assemblies)
• Develop project estimates including material costs, vendor pricing, freight and manufacturing costs
• Identify discrepancies, gaps, and risks; document assumptions and clarifications
• Validate quantities, material selections and calculations before release of estimates
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and manufacturing for pricing, lead times and freight
• Support proposal development, design revisions and BAFO activities
• Communicate impacts of estimate changes on quantities, scope and cost
• Maintain organized, traceable estimating files for review
• Assist in project award handoff ensuring alignment with PO
• Support changes, extra material requests and change orders
• Improve estimating templates, tools and processes
