Job summary

Paige Renewable Energy, a GCG company, seeks an experienced Electrical Design Estimator to support utility-scale renewable projects across North America. You will translate drawings and BOMs into accurate estimates, perform material takeoffs, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Supply Chain to enable successful execution.

This remote role prefers candidates in the Eastern or Central Time Zone to align with the existing team schedule and project timelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years electrical estimating experience or equivalent electrical construction/design estimating responsibilities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, site plans, specifications, and BOMs.
• Experience performing detailed material takeoffs and developing project estimates.
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, cables, conductors, connectors, and electrical distribution systems.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using Bluebeam or similar takeoff software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to manage multiple estimates at different stages.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQ packages, electrical drawings, site layouts, single-line diagrams, specs, BOMs to understand scope.
• Perform detailed electrical material takeoffs (cables, harnesses, connectors, assemblies) and develop project estimates.
• Incorporate material costs, vendor pricing, freight, manufacturing costs, and customer requirements into estimates.
• Identify drawing discrepancies, missing information, scope gaps, and document clarifications.
• Validate quantities, material selections, calculations, and drawing revisions before releasing estimates.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and manufacturing for supplier pricing, lead times, and freight requirements.
