Job summary

Paige Renewable Energy, a GCG company, seeks an Electrical Design Estimator to translate drawings and BOMs into accurate estimates for utility-scale renewable projects across North America.

You will perform detailed takeoffs, develop pricing, and work with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and manufacturing partners to ensure executable estimates and successful project execution.

Remote work available; preference given to candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones to align with the team schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years electrical estimating or equivalent experience including takeoffs.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, site plans and BOMs.
• Experience with detailed takeoffs and project estimates.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, cable, conductors and distribution systems.
• Strong math and analytical skills with high accuracy.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with Bluebeam or similar tools.
• Organizational, communication and collaboration skills for multiple estimates.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQ packages, drawings, layouts, specs and BOMs to define scope.
• Perform detailed electrical material takeoffs and pricing.
• Develop estimates considering materials, vendor pricing, freight and manufacturing costs.
• Identify discrepancies and document assumptions and clarifications.
• Validate quantities, materials, calculations and revisions.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and manufacturing for pricing and lead times.
• Support proposal development and BAFO activities through the sales cycle.
• Communicate impacts of estimate revisions clearly.
• Maintain organized estimating files for independent review.
• Assist project award handoff ensuring alignment with PO.
