Job summary

Brown and Caldwell, Inc. seeks an experienced Document Specialist to format and produce technical reports, memos, and client deliverables using Word and PDF tools.

You will join a collaborative formatting team and help ensure consistency with BC standards while supporting accessibility and template development. Responsibilities include final reviews, readability edits, and coordinating with engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years related work experience.
• Experience supporting production of complex client documents.
• Experience developing, maintaining and troubleshooting Word templates.
• Technical editing experience with complex documents.
• Experience with document accessibility and proofreading practices.
• Experience managing document version control and file organization.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and tools.

Responsibilities

• Apply BC style guides and client requirements to documents.
• Develop and maintain company templates for uniform deliverables.
• Perform readability reviews and editing for smooth content flow.
• Lead final document reviews to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Support proofreading, PDF production, and document accessibility tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to gather document requirements.
• Create customized Word templates tailored to client needs.
