Job summary

Brown and Caldwell, Inc. is seeking an experienced Document Specialist to format and produce high-quality technical reports and client deliverables using Word and PDF tools.

You will apply company and client standards, develop templates, and ensure accessibility and consistency across documents. The role involves collaborating with engineers, PMs, and other team members, managing multiple deadlines, and performing final reviews with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years related work experience in document formatting or editing.
• Experience creating and maintaining Word templates and document automation.
• Strong proofreading, readability, and formatting system knowledge.
• Familiarity with document accessibility standards and PDF production.

Responsibilities

• Apply BC style guides and templates to client deliverables.
• Develop and maintain Word templates ensuring consistency across documents.
• Perform readability and proofreading to ensure clear content flow.
• Ensure compliance with BC document standards at all times.
• Lead final document reviews for accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate with engineers and PMs to gather requirements.
• Create PDF bookmarks and assemble PDFs for delivery.
• Mentor teammates and support knowledge sharing.
