Job summary

American Heart Association in the Northeast (remote) seeks a Development Coordinator for the Kids Heart Challenge program. This temporary, 16-week assignment supports data entry, donor records, and school engagement, with duties including emails and phone outreach and coordination with the fundraising team.

The role is non-exempt, 25 hours per week, with start December 1, 2026 and end in May 2027. A laptop is provided; flexibility with hours and occasional evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of administrative, coordination, and/or event management experience.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; testing may apply.
• Experience with web conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams).
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with directors and volunteers to align objectives.
• Maintain a high level of service by responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Prepare presentations, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
• Support Directors/Sr. Directors, Vice Presidents, and Senior Vice Presidents on special projects.
• Work independently and within a team on nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
