Job summary

American Heart Association is seeking a Development Coordinator-Temporary for the Northeast region, fully remote. The role focuses on supporting School Fundraising programs for the Kids Heart Challenge, including data entry and communications with schools and donors.

This 14-week project runs from December 14, 2026, through May 2027, and requires flexible hours and occasional evenings or weekends. The position is home-office-based with access to Heart U and training resources.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in administrative work, project coordination and/or event management with strong attention to detail.
• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in event planning, organizing, consultation, and event management preferred. Proficient in web conferencing software (Zoom, Teams, Event.Gives).
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel; advanced skills preferred (testing may apply).
• Ability to work in a team and interact with all levels of staff, volunteers, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with directors and volunteers to maintain open communication and ensure objectives.
• Respond to customer inquiries internally and externally in a timely, knowledgeable manner.
• Support Directors/Sr. Directors and Senior VPs as needed.
• Prepare presentations, correspondence and meeting minutes promptly.
• Work independently and in teams on occasional and ongoing projects.
