Job summary
DIRECTV is seeking an IT Software Engineer 2 to drive feature development for CX orchestration platforms built on AWS, Genesys Cloud, and Salesforce Service Cloud. This remote US role involves owning the development lifecycle, coding, reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to documentation, and deliver scalable, reliable solutions while communicating progress and risks to leadership.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years focused on CCaaS or CX enterprise software.
- Experience with AWS services and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience designing reliable workflows and CRM integrations (Salesforce).
- Advanced programming across multiple languages and frameworks.
- Strong system design and architecture understanding.
- Track record of taking features from design through deployment.
Responsibilities
- Make informed technical decisions with end-to-end impact and data.
- Own development and design for assigned systems, scalable solutions.
- Lead feature development with minimal oversight from senior staff.
- Collaborate daily with product, QA, design, and engineering teams.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain software quality.
- Document technical work and share knowledge across the team.
- Troubleshoot moderately complex issues and mentor juniors.
- Lead smaller projects within larger programs and report progress.
