Job summary

DIRECTV is seeking an IT Software Engineer 2 for remote work across the United States (excluding Alaska). The role focuses on designing and implementing next-generation CX orchestration platforms using AWS, Salesforce Service Cloud, and Genesys Cloud.

You’ll own development from design through deployment, collaborating with product, QA, design, and other engineering pods. The position requires 3–5 years of software engineering, experience with CCaaS, and a solid background in AWS and Salesforce

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years focused on high-scale CCaaS or CX enterprise software.
• Experience with AWS Services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing and building reliable workflows and integrations in Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Make informed technical decisions based on end-to-end impact, data, and prior experience.
• Take ownership of development and design for assigned systems.
• Lead feature development efforts with minimal oversight from senior staff.
• Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams to align on technical solutions and timelines.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain software quality.
• Contribute to and maintain technical documentation for the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex issues within a discipline.
• Provide basic mentorship to junior engineers.
• Support larger initiatives while leading smaller project components.
• Communicate progress, blockers, and risks to team leads promptly.
