Job summary

DIRECTV, LLC is seeking an IT Software Engineer 2 for remote work across the United States (excluding Alaska). You will drive design and implementation for the CX orchestration platforms using AWS, Genesys Cloud, and Salesforce Service Cloud.

You’ll own end-to-end feature development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers while delivering reliable, scalable solutions. Strong emphasis on system design and multi-language proficiency guides your work.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years focused on high-scale CCaaS and CX/Field Services software.
• Experience with AWS Services and CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments.
• Experience designing and building reliable workflows and integrations in Salesforce.
• Advanced programming proficiency across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Solid understanding of system design and architecture principles.
• Demonstrated experience taking features from design through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Make informed technical decisions based on end-to-end impact and data.
• Own development and design of assigned systems, ensuring scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Lead feature development with minimal oversight from senior engineers.
• Collaborate daily with product, QA, design, and other pods on solutions and timelines.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold software quality standards.
• Maintain technical documentation for team knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex issues within a domain.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Support larger initiatives while leading smaller components.
• Communicate progress, blockers, and risks to team leads promptly.
