Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Customer Success Manager to support VA Data Modernization initiatives. This fully remote role in the United States focuses on onboarding, intake process improvements, and providing high-quality user support for modern data platforms.

You will own customer portfolios, build relationships across organizations, collaborate with product/engineering, and drive value realization through adoption, analytics, and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, or a technical field.
• 8 years of experience in project management or a similar role.
• 3+ years in customer success or account management with enterprise clients.
• Ability to build relationships across complex organizations.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and connecting to databases and building queries.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities.
• Experience supporting user onboarding and access provisioning workflows.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to document processes clearly and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge articles.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of internal customers and build deep relationships across their organizations.
• Develop understanding of portfolio customers’ goals, team composition, and decision-makers.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and support to realize and report customer values.
• Collect insights to support scalable use cases that drive platform adoption and value.
• Maintain rigorous account documentation—success plans, stakeholder maps, risk flags, pulses, next steps.
• Create customer success playbooks, engagement templates, and best practices.
• Serve as the primary front door for VA Data Modernization customer support.
• Provide access provisioning support and validate NDS privileges for fast-track users.
• Assist users in understanding cloud data environments, tools, DevTest data access, and workspace functionality.
• Coordinate with Databricks SMEs and Summit teams for white-glove support.
• Identify blockers and elevate improvement opportunities.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and clear communication.
• Help workgroups set up resources and migrate workloads.
• Collaborate with on‑prem teams to decommission resources after migrations.
• Manage competing priorities and provide progress reports.
• Manage parallel projects and cross-functional program level support.
• Identify and triage top-reported issues to resolution.
