Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Customer Success Manager to support VA Data Modernization initiatives. This fully remote role within the United States focuses on onboarding, improving customer intake processes, and delivering high‑quality support for users of modern data platforms.

You will own a portfolio of internal customers, build deep relationships, develop value throughout projects, and collaborate with product, engineering, and support teams to drive platform adoption and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology, Engineering, or technical discipline (or commensurate experience).
• 8 years of experience in project management or a similar role.
• 3+ years of experience in customer success, account management, or a related field with enterprise products.
• Demonstrated ability to build and navigate relationships across complex organizations.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint templates, data analysis with spreadsheets and Pivot tables, and connecting to databases.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities.
• Experience supporting user onboarding and access provisioning workflows.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to document processes clearly and maintain knowledge articles.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of internal customers and build deep relationships across their organizations.
• Develop understanding of portfolio customers’ goals, team composition, stakeholders, and business results.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and support to realize and report customer value.
• Collect insights to identify scalable use cases that drive platform adoption.
• Maintain rigorous account documentation and success plans.
• Create customer success playbooks, templates, and best practices.
• Serve as the primary front door for VA Data Modernization customer support.
• Provide access provisioning support, including validating privileges.
• Assist users in understanding cloud data environments and workspace functionality.
• Coordinate with Databricks SMEs and enablement teams for post‑provisioning support.
• Identify blockers and drive process improvement opportunities.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and clear, helpful communication.
• Help workgroups set up resources and migrate workloads.
• Collaborate with on‑prem teams to decommission resources after migrations.
• Manage competing priorities and provide progress reports on data operations.
• Manage parallel projects and provide cross‑functional program support.
• Triage top‑reported issues and drive resolution.
