Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Customer Success Manager (CSM) to support VA Data Modernization initiatives. This fully remote role focuses on onboarding, improving intake processes, and delivering high-quality user support for modern data platforms across the US.

You will own a portfolio of federal customers, build strategic relationships, and collaborate with product, engineering, and support teams to maximize platform adoption and customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology, Engineering, or technical discipline (or commensurate experience).
• 8 years of experience in project management or a similar role.
• 3+ years of experience in customer success, account management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build and navigate relationships across complex organizations.
• Proficiency with building high-quality PowerPoint templates, data analysis with spreadsheets and pivot tables, and connecting to databases and building queries.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Experience supporting user onboarding and access provisioning workflows.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of internal customers and build deep relationships across their organizations.
• Develop understanding of portfolio customers’ goals, team composition, decision-makers, and business results.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and support to realize and report customer values.
• Maintain rigorous account documentation and success plans.
• Create customer success playbooks and engagement templates.
• Serve as the primary front door for VA Data Modernization customer support.
• Provide access provisioning support and validate privileges.
• Assist users in understanding cloud data environments and workspace functionality.
• Coordinate with Databricks SMEs and enablement teams for post-provisioning support.
• Identify blockers and elevate improvement opportunities.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and clear communication.
• Guide teams in resource setup and migrations; decommission resources after migrations.
