Job summary

TAG MedStaffing is hiring Crisis Workers for our client to provide text and online chat-based emotional support remotely. This part-time role offers two shifts per week and a pay rate of $21/hour.

You will perform risk assessments, crisis intervention, resource referrals, and accurate documentation while adhering to safety and confidentiality protocols. 1+ year of relevant behavioral health or human services experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related fields preferred (psychology, counseling, social work, human services).
• 1+ year in behavioral health, social services, crisis intervention, or related field.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, active listening, risk assessment, confidentiality, and community resources.
• Strong computer, typing, communication, and electronic documentation skills.
• Excellent written communication, empathy, judgment, adaptability, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis support via text and online chat with empathetic, nonjudgmental communication.
• Assess safety and risk and follow crisis escalation protocols.
• Connect individuals with community and emergency resources based on needs.
• Apply intervention techniques and distress tolerance strategies under pressure.
• Document interactions, assessments, referrals, and outcomes accurately.
• Complete required crisis intervention training and maintain confidentiality.
