Job summary

CarePoint Response seeks a National Text and Chat Counselor to join our crisis services team. You’ll be the first line of support for individuals reaching out through the 988 Lifeline on text and chat, delivering immediate, compassionate, life-saving care with risk assessment in a remote environment.

This part-time role requires strong typing, written communication, and crisis de-escalation skills. You’ll work overnights (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) including weekends, maintain professional boundaries,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor preferred.
• Strong typing and written communication skills.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to text and chat messages on the 988 Lifeline platform.
• Conduct suicide risk assessments and escalate when needed.
• Provide referrals to local mental health resources and document interactions.
