Job summary

CONTACT Care Line is a fully remote crisis counseling program serving the United States. We hire full-time, 40-hour employees with shifts of 8.5 hours, including both weekend days.

Counselors assess suicide risk, provide compassionate support, and document interactions while following clinical and compliance guidelines. The role emphasizes timely communication, SBAR-based escalation, and collaboration with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Social Work or related field, or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in mental health, crisis intervention, or a related field.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 988 chat, text, and telephone interactions in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Manage two concurrent chat interactions during chat-focused shifts while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Assess and mitigate suicide risk using established protocols and safety planning procedures.
• Document all visitor interactions accurately and within 8 minutes per interaction.
• Engage in SBAR consultations for escalated visitor cases and mandatory reporting conversations.
• Maintain active Slack presence and respond within 3 minutes to messages in work channels.
• Attend meetings via Microsoft Teams and participate in supervision sessions as requested.
